Marilyn (Wiggers) Nellis Dismore, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Hospital. Marilyn was born in Warrick County, on August 1, 1922 to the late Henry A. and Alice (Angel) Wiggers. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1940. Marilyn worked at Welborn Clinic for over 25 years as a medical assistant. She was an active member of St. John's East United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school. Marilyn was also a member of the Captain Henry Vanderburgh Chapter NSDAR and volunteered her time at Good Samaritan. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Stephen E. Nellis (Gayle) of Mount Vernon, IN, Gene Nellis (Diane) of Henderson, KY; brother, Willard Wiggers of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Stephen J. Nellis (Denise), Brent Nellis (Buffy), Lisa Talbot (Ron), Jason Nellis (Kristen), Nick Shelton, Nick West, Randy West; great-grandchildren, Brittney Nellis, Jeremy Nellis, Noah Nellis and Jameson Nellis, Drew, Ciara, Skylar, Justin, Lacey and Chase West and Kaydance Barnett and one nephew, Henry Wiggers. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Clemons R. Dismore; her parents and sister-in-law, Marion Wiggers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Kenneth Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, August 6, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
