Juanita C. (Davis) Russ, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at her home. Juanita was born in Central City, Kentucky on November 23, 1938 to William and Naomi Davis. She retired from Silgan, formerly Bernadins, where she worked as a Press Operator. Juanita enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved celebrating holidays with them, especially Christmas. She enjoyed many hobbies, including genealogy research, computers, and reading. Juanita was a very spiritual lady who always kept a neat and tidy home. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Tieken (Bernie) of Evansville, IN, son, Anthony "Tony" Russ (Mary) of Evansville, IN, sisters, Viola of Drakesboro, KY, Anna of Portland, OR, brothers, George (Lucy) of Central City, KY, Roy Wayne of Central City, KY, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilber "Bill" Russ, parents, and one sister, Helen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Chaplain Tom Hubacheck officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
