Ruth Irene (Dillman) Baughn, 97, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She left this world surrounded in love by her son, Bob and her grandchildren, Kristi and Terri.

Ruth (Dillman) Baughn was born December 1, 1914 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Henry and Clara (Grund) Dillman. She was an inspiration to others with her strong Catholic faith, love, compassion and unselfish ways. She always put everyone else before herself. She was a charter member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Ruth enjoyed reading, flower gardening, sewing, baking cakes and spending time with her family, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Ruth is survived by her son, Bob Baughn (Shirley) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Terri Buckland (Doug) of Newnan, GA, Kristi Lamb (Dennis) of Lexington, KY; great granddaughter, Katie Ruttinger of Newnan, GA; and her loving cousins.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Baughn; daughter, Carole (Baughn) Krajniak; and her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Indiana 47711. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 8:00 AM until service time on Friday.
