Obituaries

Pearl Lillian Evans, 86, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at home.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 1, 1926 to Everett and Edith (Rueger) West. Pearl was baptized at Emanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for over 20 years at Lafendricks and then worked at Welborn Baptist Hospital in housekeeping for 22 years and retired in 1991. Pearl loved spending time with her family and playing bingo with her friends at Lakeside Manor.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Sandra Nuttall (James) of St. Albans, Vermont; daughter-in-law, Marcia Evans of Evansville, Indiana; sister, Fern Hulsey of St. Phillips, Indiana; granddaughter, Angel Hurd (Allen); great- grandchildren, Heather Hurd, Meaghan Hurd, Allyssa Hurd, Kevin Hurd, Daniel Hurd, and Samantha Sieverding (Ryan); great-great-granddaughter, Sophia and several nieces and nephews.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick L. Evans; sisters, Helen Holder and Dorothy Brown; brother, Ronald West; and granddaughter, Deborah Amerio. Also, she was preceded in death by her "grand dog" Bubba.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to VNA Hospice, Sister Jennifer and Terry Kensell for their love, support, and prayers.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN with Pastor Dan Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Lutherans Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. Thursday July 5,2012 and from 9:00A.M. until 10:00A.M. on Friday July 6, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
