Obituary:Wilma W. (Welch) Sunderman, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital.
Wilma was born in Norris City, Illinois on April 19, 1930 to George and Hallie (Webb) Welch. She graduated from Carmi High School in 1948 and came to Evansville to continue her education at Lockyear Business College. After her college graduation, she went to work for Chrysler Corporation in the payroll department. Later, she and her husband, Gene, owned Nisbet Inn in northern Vanderburgh county for 17 years. After Gene died she went to work in for Donut Bank on Diamond Avenue where she worked in sales for 12 years.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Kissel and her husband, Steven, of Evansville, IN, and grandchildren, Jennifer Patterson and Daniel Steven Kissel. Although her family was small, she was blessed with a great number of very loving and caring friends.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Eugene Sunderman in 1990, daughter, Sharon Sue Sunderman in 1999, parents, and brother, Kenneth Lee Welch.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Father Eugene A. Schroeder and Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park where she will lay in peace between her husband and daughter.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 12:00 noon until service time on Saturday.
