Obituaries

On May 20, 2012, Lodusky "Duckie" Wolfinger took her journey home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church for nearly 60 years. Duckie served in the nursery there for 40 of those years. She lived each day of her life serving the Lord, as well as others in need. Duckie lived her life in such a way that there was never a question of her faith. She was content and when asked, she never needed or wanted anything. Her joy truly did come from her relationship with God. Duckie was the person that her family and close friends would go to in times of trouble or need, because they knew how closely she lived to God and that she prayed non-stop for their needs.

Duckie is survived by 1 daughter, Betty Robertson and husband, CJ; 1 son, Charles Wolfinger; 3 grandchildren, Randy Robertson and wife, Linda, Gary Robertson and wife, Kelly and Chase Wolfinger; great grandchildren, Anna Fox, Gary Wayne Robertson, Kristi Hozey, Bryan Straw, Braden Straw, Stephen Paul LaFontaine; 5 great- great grandchildren and her sister, Bertie Fleming.

Duckie was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert in 1985 and her parents.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday May 24, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church, 1200 North Garvin Street, Evansville, Indiana 47711 with Pastor Ray Deeter and Rev. Rick Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47711 and from 11:00 AM until service time at church on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Martha and the staff at Bethel Manor and Heritage Hospice, especially Chaplain Tom for all the love and care given to Duckie.
